After asking Ellen how she was feeling today I received this text "Exhausted. Puking and I have a whiny non-sleeping 5-month-old to keep alive."
That pretty much sums it up currently. This pregnancy has been easier on Ellen for the most part, but there are days when she just feels like death and while Remy is generally a pretty easy baby, he's still a 5-month old that needs constant care. It's days like this that make me wish I worked from home so I could help.
The Job Problem
Honestly, working has been one of the hardest things about raising Remy. I want to be there but most of the week I can't. At the same time, I have to work, just like Ellen, because we don't make enough money for either of us to quit. It's funny because I know when I'm home, the majority of the time will just sitting around either playing with or holding Remy, which doesn't sound exciting. But when I'm here at work, I can't wait to go home and play with him and watch The Grinch (his favorite) and be a dad. Pretty sure I just need to win the lottery. I'll let you know how that goes.
Remy Is Eating Food!!
We just started giving Remy real food and let me tell you .... it was hilarious. We started with peas ........ and Remy was not digging it. He made all kinds of crazy faces and ended up not eating very much of them, which is fine for now. The next day we gave him sweet potatoes, and it was a much different story. He LOVED them!! We have also given him carrots, and he seems to like those too. I'm excited for the day we can share a 120 count bag of pizza rolls.
The New Baby
Baby #2 is 15 weeks old, about the size of a navel orange and weighs around 2.4 ounces. Honestly, that seems crazy to me that Remy was once that small because he is SOLID now. I mean when you grab Remy it feels like your grabbing a mini fullback. Ellen hasn't felt any kicks or hiccups yet, but that's normal for only being 15 weeks. They should be coming fairly soon though.
Talk to you guys soon!
