IT'S BEEN AWHILE...

It's so good to talk to you guys! I have been a little busy and kind of forgot about the blog.

So for those that didn't read my blog before, I'm a new dad! My wife Ellen and I had our son Remy (Remington) on April 19th, 2019. He is 4 1/2 months old and has me completely wrapped about his finger.

On top of that, Ellen is pregnant again! Our second is due March 22nd, 2020. If you're quick at math then you know that means Remy and baby #2 will be a whopping 11 months apart!

I found out after Ellen became pregnant, that children born within a year of each other are called Irish Twins. I always thought Irish Twins were just twins born in Ireland. I'm pretty sure the term was originally meant to be derogatory, associating Irish immigration to the USA and England. I guess groups of close in age children were a characteristic of large Irish Catholic families. But Ellen is Catholic and I will be soon enough, so we can just keep that stereotype going! ;)

We will be finding out the gender as soon as we can. I think that will be around the middle-end of October, so keep on the lookout for that.

Ellen is 13 weeks pregnant now. This pregnancy has definitely been different. Her mood swings less often, hasn't had any weird food cravings (besides carbs, buy hey, who doesn't), hasn't been sick very often and didn't have much of a problem cutting out caffeine. She did get a wicked (that's for you Matthew) bad migraine the other night, but luckily was able to sleep it off. She does crave cookies quite often but then again so do I, so that's not saying much. We are both excited for baby #2 and can't wait.

I will try and post as often as possible, but free time doesn't really exist anymore. We will see how it goes. Until next time guys I leave you with a picture of Remy trying to be a model (Derek Zoolander I hope). Later guys!!
